Conference Cancelled

On behalf of the Breast Cancer Trials (BCT) Board of Directors, we would like to inform you that in view of the current situation concerning the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the unknown future impact this may have, the Board has taken the decision to cancel BCT’s 42nd ASM which was due to take place from 22-24 July 2020 in Auckland, New Zealand.

We have a duty of care to our members, sponsors, staff, delegates and the wider community, to minimise the risk of further spread of the COVID-19. Collectively the Board felt it was also in the best interests of our members and guests to arrive at this decision now to prevent the potential loss of investment people may make in order to attend the meeting.

The BCT ASM Secretariat will directly contact anyone who has already registered, as well as sponsors and exhibitors, about this decision.

For any questions, please contact the BCT ASM Secretariat at asm@bctrials.org.au

Breast Cancer Trials
42nd Annual Scientific Meeting

Breast Cancer Trials (BCT) is the largest independent, oncology clinical trials research group in Australia and New Zealand. For more than 40 years, BCT has conducted clinical trials for the treatment and prevention of breast cancer.

The research program involves multicentre national and international clinical trials and brings together around 800 researchers in 102 institutions throughout Australia and New Zealand. BCT has contributed to more than 1,100 peer reviewed publications and more than 15,700 women have participated in BCT clinical trials.

The 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) will host a number of internationally renowned guest speakers including key BCT researchers. Delegates include leading Australian and New Zealand medical practitioners and clinicians, and clinical trials management personnel.

The full and extensive program will include two days of scientific sessions covering timely reviews of breast cancer clinical trials, discussion of new protocols, future clinical trials research and other research developments.

The ASM is an opportunity for breast cancer researchers throughout Australia and New Zealand to learn of recent advances in breast cancer research worldwide; to share knowledge and research outcomes; and to collaborate, plan and strategise for new breast cancer clinical trials research initiatives.

The Breast Cancer Trials ASM is not open to the general public to attend.
